Scottish Women’s Football (SWF) were advised by the Perform and Win Committee that they had considered a breach of competition rules by Kilmarnock, pertaining to their Scottish Women’s Premier League Two fixture against Hamilton Academical (October 25th). The club have been fined £50 and the match has been awarded 3-0 to Hamilton Academical.
After convening a meeting, the committee determined that the below rule had been breached:
Competition Rule 20(f): “If a player participates in a League fixture or a League Cup tie whilst being ineligible to play in the match as a result of a suspension imposed by the Scottish FA, the team for which the player has participated may have points deducted from its points total in the League, or the result being awarded 3-0 in favour of the opposing team, and/or be liable to other such penalties as the Management Committee may decide.”
The result and league table have been updated accordingly. Kilmarnock have the right to appeal and SWF will make no further comment on this matter.
