With no football for an indefinite period and the country being encouraged to take part in social distancing, we thought we’d take this opportunity to get to know some of the Scottish Building Society SWPL players more.
In our own way of encouraging people to follow the medical advice of the NHS and the Government, we’ve asked some relevant questions of the players that will hopefully give you some inspiration for staying indoors:
Name: Hannah Clark
Club: St Johnstone
Favourite SWPL memory: I think when I made my debut in the premier league for Jeanfield swifts when I was 14 and scored an important goal in that game. That was a massive moment for me and one that I wont forget.
Toughest SWPL opponent: I think it has to be Glasgow City or Celtic. When you come up against these teams you know it’s going to be a hard game and one where you probably aren’t going to have much of the ball. They are two very well drilled and organised teams who move the ball well.
An individual opponent I wouldn’t like to face every week and a player I’ve always looked up to is Nicola Docherty. I think she is a determined player who works her socks off every single game she plays.
Favourite Movie: I’m not really a big movie watcher, but if I had to stick one on it’d be ‘Grown ups’.
Favourite TV show: Still Game, all day every day.
Favourite homemade meal: Steak Pie.
Favourite chocolate or biscuit: I like a Galaxy Caramel, or a Fry’s Orange Cream.
Favourite book or one you’d recommended: I’m not much of a reader although I should be. I used to love all Roald Dahls’ books when I was younger so it would probably be one of them!
Favourite board game: You can’t beat a classic game of Monopoly.
Favourite video game: FIFA, although I’m not the best at it. Love a game of Call of Duty as well!
Favourite album: It would have to be an Oasis Album, Either ‘Definitely Maybe’ or ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory’. I’m also a massive Rod Stewart fan so one of his albums has to be up there.
The song you sing to wash your hands to: Well I’ve been told it’s supposed to be Happy Birthday, but if I was to pick my own song to sing for 20 seconds it would probably be Mysterious Girl by Peter Andre, although I’d probably get carried away and sing the full song.
